Dublin Castle
It won't come as too much of a surprise that as has happened many times in the experience of DT, the proposed 'guest list' of industry darlings found washing their hair preferable to the mighty Scratch ... This was the 4th gig at the Dublin Castle, which still rates as one of the better of the small 'production line venues' ... The boys debuted newie '80's' ... Another in their fantastic and innovative current 'Electro Punk Revolution', the rest of the seven songs featured a direct split between garage punk and electronica and was mezmerising stuff ... Despite hangin about for 2 hours to get a five minute soundcheck the sound was good out front, however according to the band markedly less so on stage ... I reckon that this could have had something to do with Andy's late effort to qualify for the olympic javelin with his 'best' and now cracked like the others guitar, which measured its length somewhere towards the back of the room, prior to storming finale X-Ray Eyes ... According to the guys, this could be the last of these 'thankless' events for themselves and us loyal followers, but have no fear, the attention is now turning to their own promoted 'party' nights featuring other fave bands of theirs and great freebie offers for all those of us desperate for new material from our fave electro punks!
